Training Course in Karelian Center

Training course “Education in the Field of Human Rights and Rights of Indigenous Peoples” started on March 23 in Karelian Regional public organization “Youth Information Legal Center of Indigenous Peoples “NEVOND”. 8 representatives of indigenous and small-numbered indigenous peoples (Veps, Karelians, and Ingermanlands) take part in the training course. The course’s programme includes study of federal and regional law, mechanisms of human rights and rights of indigenous peoples protection. Meetings with representatives of public authorities are planned. Interns will visit exhibitions, museums, and folk concerts.
The first day interns got to know each other, they held psychological trainings to form a united team. Interns also visited Karelian Republic’s Ministry of Home Affairs Museum.
