Last year was the period of cardinal forestry reforms. New system of forestry management in accordance with the forest code was also accepted in Kuzbass.
Vladimir Rykalov, head of Kemerovo Oblast Forest Department noted that forest reserves had been earlier managed by two heterosubordinate structures and then were reunited. 19 forestries and 11 state enterprises were established. Legislative and legal basis of new system of forestry management was also formed. In Kuzbass they also had to adopt five new oblast laws more than ten normative acts.
